The ABC Coaching and Counselling Newsletter

ABC Newsletter

6th July 2016

Book-cover-frontThis is the first substantial Newsletter since September 2015.  In this issue, we include the most important developments of the recent past, from ABC Coaching and Counselling Services, and the Institute for E-CENT.

This includes the new book on E-CENT counselling; two new websites on coaching and counselling; and a public talk on E-CENT counselling.

New book on Holistic Counselling in Practice

The big event of the recent past has been the announcement, on 4th July, that our new book is now available at Amazon.  This book is entitled, Holistic Counselling in Practice: An introduction to Emotive Cognitive Embodied Narrative Therapy (E-CENT)***

In announcing the book, we made a number of points, including the following:

“We are changeable and complex creatures, and our diets, exercise regimes and thoughts; the amount and quality of sleep; the quality of personal relationships; our social and financial situations; and the general level of stress hormones in our bodies; all play a significant part in how we experience our lives.

“To change our lives for the better, we have to take all these factors into account. Otherwise the changes we desire won’t come about, or won’t last.  It’s not enough to simply change your self-talk, or inner dialogue, or to think more positively, or to visualize a better life for yourself!

Dr Jim's photo“That’s why, after fifteen years of research into most of the major theories of therapy, (Dr Jim Byrne has) created a counselling model which finally takes all of these important aspects of human functioning into account.”
