New book on the links between mental health, food and nutrients

I have recently edited this book by Renata Taylor-Byrne, and, although we had previously published a co-authored book which was 50% about the links between anger, anxiety and depression, on the one hand, and a range of bad foods, and a set of healthy diets – I was not prepared for the sheer “newness” of this new book which was researched and written by Renata on her own. I was blown away by the impact of the 40+ case studies that she presents; and some of her insights about the inadequacy of the current regime for teaching medical doctors are very powerful wake-up calls for significant change in the so called health service, which does not deliver very good results for the general public today. We do not need a “sickness service”. We, the people at large, need a very solid system of preventive medicine; and the schools and colleges should be raising awareness about the massive problem of junk food causing not just physical deteriroation, but often acute mental health problems.

You must read this book, if you want to be mentally and physically healthy!
